Hot Tamales: The Origin Story

This was a final paper for my Rhetoric of Food class. We were each to choose a food that had a pop culture significance and explain it's origins and relationship to society over time. I chose tamales because the process of making them is just as fun as eating them.

This was my proposal piece written as a query letter for Burrow Press, an Orlando publishing company. In this letter, I pitch an idea to write a profile on Orlando artist Boy Kong, a renown mural painter and sculptor who has gathered a cult following in the art community.
